The fear of asking

Internal adult reasons:

  • Not qualified enough
  • Not ready
  • Rejection
  • Being blamed for it later on
  • Non-mutual feelings
  • Family won't accept
  • Giving up what we think we know about ourselves
  • Not being able to live up to the other person's expectations
Recently, children had fun asking me questions they knew the answer to (taught by their parents).

I watched as a little boy threw his bicycle down, hop on, and start riding furiously.

I asked him if has a helmet.

He said yeah.

I told him always wear a helmet.

He said OK! I watched as he ran home, put on his green mo-hawk helmet, and hop back on his bike.

With a childish heart, I asked, do you remember when your parent's were the most proud of you?
